Happy April, happy daffodils in bloom, happy my favorite Simon & Garfunkel song, happy cherry blossoms, happy matzoh-eating month. Happy April Fool’s Day:
March’s books were:
The Passion (Jeanette Wintersen) – delicious novel about love and Venice and Napolean.
Being Peace (Thich Nhat Hanh) – maybe the most profound impact a book has ever had on my life.
Abhorsen (Garth Nix) – finally finished the trilogy…which I started reading when I was, um, 13?
By Cold Water (Chris Dombrowski) – poems. yummy ones.
Proven Guilty (Jim Butcher) – book #7? 8?? It’s been a long time since I’ve read this many books in a series so quickly. They’re totally addictive.
Niagara River (Kay Ryan) – more poems. very very yummy ones.
Siddhartha (Hermann Hesse) – last book for yoga class…read it years ago, but really glad I’m re-reading it.
Oh, and happy National Poetry Writing Month! I’m doing a NaPoWriMo challenge that Jon has organized, to write a poem a day for the whole month–30 poems in 30 days! Maybe I’ll post some of them. If you dear readers clamor loudly enough. Perchance.
